Model Overview:

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. Jeep has always wanted the Grand Cherokee to be maneuverable enough for urban duty, roomy enough for family duty, stylish enough to take out on the town and capable enough to tow your toys or shuttle your passengers to a remote campsite. Modern Grand Cherokees are far more refined than the early models, but they're no less versatile.

Unlike most other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been built using a carlike unibody platform for superior on-road handling. Yet Jeep's strong reputation for off-road prowess is retained, thanks to the Grand Cherokee's advanced four-wheel-drive systems and capable suspension. It's a rare combination of attributes in a modern utility vehicle, as the Jeep is able to venture farther off the beaten path than competing crossover SUVs.

  • Jeep Cherokee Laredo - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Having enjoyed my Jeep Cherokee Sport 2 Door 6 cyl, for a full 10 years, it was time for a new toy. Price, performance and spirit where high on my list of wants in a new machine. I kept coming back to Jeep. The Laredo was the right size for my shopping and travel needs. I am hoping this will give me at least 10 reliable years of fun, like its predecessor.

Loved the ride in comparison with ford and toyota SUVs. Best SUV -- bang for the buck. We looked at german SUVs and their repair expense is very high. I own two german cars so i have experience with regular wear and tear repair cost. I was very sceptical to buy first American car and was sold right away after i drove .

  • Best Jeep Yet - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

This is a much better Jeep than in previous years. Engine is powerful and responsive, and the ride is quiet and smooth. Handling is true and the car doesnt wander over the road as my 2004 Laredo did. So far, it has been a quality ride.

This is my 3rd Grand Cherokee, all of them performed great. Id only add a more sportive transfer case (sequential) as an optional.

  • Trouble Free Fun - 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Ive driven cross country twice, its my daily driver, trail rig, and family mover. My Jeep has done everything Ive asked of it without a single maintenance issue to date. Ive ridden trails from IL, OK, TX, NM, AZ, CO & UT, and the QDII system is hands down the best 4WD system available on the market. Front, rear, center ELSDs provide a sure-footedness I never experienced in my other 4X4s. The luxury is top shelf. Every gizmo I could want, MyGig, HIDs, 4 seat warmers, nav system. All work together to provide an incredible driving experience. And it always looks sharp, aggressive, and ready to go.

  • Maybe Im Lucky - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

I bought 2014 GC Limited 4x4 in October, and have just under 3,000 miles on it. It works fine. No trips to dealer about anything. Ive read all the negative reviews, and Im sure if there were problems, theyd have shown up already, so I guess Im lucky. Only complaint is no CD player, except at optional outrageous cost. Knew that when I bought it, so having no CD player wasnt a deal breaker. The GC really paid off in December and January with this crazy, snowy weather. One idiosyncrasy--when I clean touchscreen (and vehicle is completely "Off"), temp. resets to "Low" setting. Must be residual electric charge in screen even when "Off".

  • It just keeps going - 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee

We bought our Gr. Cherokee brand new and have loved it until today. The V-8 engine is great and is needed on the car. The heated seats are also a great feature. Now after 7 years we have 98000 miles on the Jeep and it still runs great.

  • You can not beet the jeep - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

It drives well on and off road, I have driven from NC to FL and it did not require as much work as a big van.

I have owned 2 Jeep grand cherokees, the 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited, and now the 2004 Grand Cherokee Freedom Edition, I Love them both, they are dependable, easy and fun to drive...I cant really see how they can improve on perfection, but I guess we will find out when the 2005 models come out!!!
